Blog about working with Flash.

This last week we have started messing with Adobe Flash CS3 to create our video games for class. It is a very intense program, but a very creative one. I love learning how to program, its so neat the things you can create. It does get aggravating though trying to learn all the little ends and outs of the software. In the end, many companies prefer that you have an extensive knowledge of flash. Hopefully, I will learn to manage the many functions of flash.

So I started trying to create my project in flash...there are so many options. I like messing with both the pen tool and the pencil tool. I think the pen tool is cooler, cause you can make cooler designs. Both tools are really hard to use and require a lot of technique. Overall, I haven't done a whole lot in flash yet, but it will come together. I plan on my project being more cartoonish, the realistic. I am very excited though to see this project through!

Paper Prototype

This blog is on my paper prototyping project. P.P (Paper Prototyping) is an excellent way to really show how your game is going to be laid out. I really had just a general idea of how my game was to be laid out, and when I started P.P. it really made me have to visually create my game. How I created it in the P.P. is almost exactly how my game is going to turn out. It took a good while to draw everything. I am a very detailed oriented person, so I made my drawings very articulate and accurate. Overall P.P. really helped me to see how my game was going to be created. I feel that Paper Prototyping is probably the most important part of the project. It is here that you really plan your game out. You also figure out how you want everything to look and feel. It may have took me awhile to finish but it was an integral part of the project! I feel that it is definitely worth it to do P.P., because it is going to make actually creating the game in flash, so much easier.
